All Core Facility Software for user operations are free.
Software tools made available through OSU's Bioinformatics and Microarray Resource Facilities can be distinguished as:
* Desktop Software (PC/Mac)
* Web-based software
* Remote-access (see the OSU High Performance Computing Website)
Desktop Software access: Software tools under this category can be accessed locally through the new Core Facilities Laboratory, located at 110F in the Henry Bellmon Research Center, Oklahoma State University. The Lab hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. After hours access is available to some resources by calling the Core Resource Facilities and providing them your CWID, and needs. Web-based software: Most of the tools under this category can be accessed via the web, however, there are some that need an authorized access. Please fill out a request form to access software tools that need authorization.
Remote-access tools: Tools that are server based can be accessed remotely using a combination of one or more software programs like putty, filezilla,, WinSCP, iDROP, X-windows and others. Many of these tools are now well-described on the New User Tutorial of the OSU High Performance Computing Website.
